Change in the ADTECH AG Shareholder Structure Dreieich, Germany – 3rd July 2006. ADTECH AG has today released the following statement further to the acquisition of 8 per cent of its shares by DoubleClick. The acquisition of these shares has according to a press release from DoubleClick taken place through a third-party transaction with two minority shareholders of ADTECH AG.
Dirk Freytag, CEO of ADTECH, comments on this transaction: “I’m pleased to hear that leading private equity firm Hellman & Friedman has invested in ADTECH via its portfolio company DoubleClick. However, I’d like to take the opportunity to reassure customers, prospects and the press that over 80 per cent of ADTECH shares are held by the founders and management who firmly remain in control of all financial and operating decisions of the company.”
Freytag continues: “Since the release of HELIOS IQ in 2005, our latest online advertising management and delivery solution, ADTECH has significantly built its presence in the European market. We are proud on our record of success in the industry and will continue to execute against our product and expansion strategy. The change in the shareholder structure will have no impact on our operating business. If anything, our customers will appreciate that we are able to offer the best of both worlds – the security of a large player in the industry combined with the flexibility and responsiveness of a rapidly growing firm.”
According to Freytag, the next opportunity for ADTECH is the expansion into the U.S. market which has been carefully planned over the past few months.
